The practice area is a smaller flying zone located close to the accommodation buildings, it is ideal for those flying small models, setting up a helicopter or still practising their hovering skills.
The practice flying area is located on our property approximately 75m from our accommodation. It comprises of a concrete hard standing with a work area, prepared grass patch, with a flying area of approximately 125m by 100m.
The area provides the facility for less experienced helicopter pilots to practice hovering and for those setting up a new model to work on the model in close proximity to the on-site workshop.
For those practising their 3D fixed wing skills this area again provides the opportunity without causing congestion issues on the main flight line.
During the evening the area provides an excellent base for flying small electric models (rotary or fixed wing).
